Privacy Policy

It covers this website, email, phone and text enquiries, quotes, orders, prototype interest (including kick drum cover trials), and measurement or advertising tools that run on the site when they are switched on.

It does not cover other websites you reach from my pages, including Google, PayPal, or Stripe Checkout. Those services have their own policies.

Most of it comes straight from you: email, phone, text, or attachments you send. This website does not run a stored contact form. When you use a mailto or phone link, your email or phone provider carries the message to me.

If you buy a product available for direct purchase on this website, Stripe Checkout collects the payment details, delivery address, and (if you choose) phone number. At launch those stock products are Tow Smart signs. Card numbers are handled by Stripe. They do not pass through this website.

I also collect information automatically if Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or Google Ads tags are installed and you allow analytics and advertising cookies. Those tools can start collecting as soon as a page loads, which is why a notice appears when they are enabled.

I do not buy mailing lists. I do not knowingly collect information about children. This site is aimed at adult musicians, businesses, and travellers.

I advertise on Google from time to time, and I use Google's measurement tools so I can see which pages are useful and whether ads lead to genuine enquiries. That is Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Ads conversion tracking when those tools are switched on.

Google Tag Manager is a container. It does not replace Analytics or Ads; it is how those tags (and similar tags I add later) are loaded. Tags loaded through it may include Google Analytics and Google advertising tags used for conversion tracking, campaign measurement, and ads personalisation.

Google may set cookies or use similar technologies, read a truncated IP address, and combine site activity with information from your Google account if you are signed in. Google may use this for its own purposes as described in its policies. I use it to understand traffic, improve the site, and make ads more relevant — including ads personalisation — rather than to build a profile I sell to anyone else.

These tools are not strictly required for the site to work. You can use Essential only on the cookie notice when it is showing, or change your choice later on this page. You can also use Google's own ad settings and the Analytics opt-out add-on.

I do not use those tags to collect sensitive information (health, politics, religion, and similar). Please do not put that kind of detail in an enquiry unless it is genuinely needed for the job.

When measurement tools are enabled on this website, a notice asks you to choose before those Google cookies are used. Choosing That's fine allows Analytics, Tag Manager, and Google advertising cookies, including for ads personalisation. Essential only keeps the site working without those measurement cookies.

The notice is a collection notice as well as a choice. Australian privacy rules expect people to be told at the time tracking technologies collect personal information, not only in a policy buried in the footer.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google also expects consent before ads personalisation cookies. If that notice is showing, please choose explicitly. If you later change your mind, use the button below or the footer link, or email me and I will help as far as the tools allow.

Browser controls, content blockers, and Google's own opt-outs still work on top of that choice.

I am based in New South Wales, Australia. Most jobs stay here. Some service providers store or process information outside Australia, including Google, Vercel, and payment companies. That can include the United States and other countries that do not have the same privacy laws as Australia.

If you enquire from overseas, your message is received and stored in Australia, and may pass through those same providers. By contacting me or using the site, you understand that this transfer can happen so I can reply, quote, and (if we proceed) produce and deliver the work.

I take reasonable care with email, invoices, and artwork files. No internet transmission is completely secure, and I will not pretend otherwise.

I keep enquiry and order records for as long as they are needed for the job, warranty or returns, tax, and accounting — typically at least seven years for financial records. Artwork may be kept so I can reprint or help with a later job, unless you ask me to delete files I no longer need to retain.

Website logs and Google measurement data follow those providers' retention settings.
